A room people
make in together.

Groop House is a circle for people who design and build games — a table when we can share one, a room online when we cannot. Desks, tools, critique, playtests. Not a feed. Nothing here asks you to post.

What it is

Three things happen here.

Everything else is scaffolding around them.

  • Make

    Workshop time

Hours held for the work itself. Bring a build, a paper prototype, a page of dialogue you cannot get right. Nobody presents. Everyone makes.

  • Show

    On the table

Playable fragments only. If it runs, it goes on the table and somebody else puts their hands on it. Critique is direct and it is kind, in that order.

  • Stay

    The long game

The room keeps. Come back in three months with the same project and people will remember where you left it, and ask what happened next.

No gameslop on the table. That is the whole rule.

Who it is for

People with something half-built.

This is not a coworking brochure. There is no hot-desk tier, no networking hour, no funnel you are quietly inside of. There is a room, and there are people in it who have shipped things and abandoned things and know the difference.

  • Indie designers, one to five people deep, mid-project.
  • Narrative and systems people who need somebody to walk their branch and say where it snapped.
  • Solo builders who have run out of their own opinions.

How to arrive

Knock once.

Slots are limited by the size of the room, not by a queue. Tell us what you are making and we will tell you when the table has space. One door, one knock — there is nothing else on this page to fill in.

The links at the foot of this page open onto the same room, if you would rather look first.
